Letters from Chief Executives
Dear esteemed colleagues,
Salam mahasiswa! This year the Indonesian Student Association will make drastic changes to its organisational structure and image in order to be more engaging to interested parties. We first changed our logo from the traditional design to a more modern, sophisticated but also include significant cultural elements to the new logo. Next, we are going to develop our reach on the media platform, operating with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and our first ever official website. We are also open to collaborations with other Indonesian Students Association in the United Kingdom who are interested in creating events that relates to sports, education or cultural exchange and showcases. This year we are hoping to leave an exceptional track record for the next cabinet in order to increase our presence as a nation and a professional organisation in the international community.
To close, on behalf of the new cabinet, we would like to congratulate the previous cabinet and all parties that were involved for their thorough effort in growing the Indonesian Student Association of Exeter into a professional and independent organisation it is today.
We wholeheartedly grateful for our partners: the Exeter University Indonesian Society, our parent organisation, the Indonesian Student Association of the United Kingdom, and other related parties for their continual support for the Indonesian Student Association of Exeter.

Letters from Notable Alumni
Dear esteemed colleagues,
My name is Bima Manopo, I successfully gained my Master of Laws in 2018 after completing a one-year program in International Commercial Law at the University of Exeter, United Kingdom. During my master program, I was elected as the President of PPI Exeter 2017-2018. The role requires a strong commitment to run the organisation without disregarding the responsibilities of being a student. It’s because he believes that being active in organisations would definitely provide a fundamental value, which is not only about how to be a leader but also how to respect the diverse backgrounds of the members. The most satisfying feelings as the President was when the board of PPI Exeter could make several events for Indonesian students to chill out together, accompanied by authentic Indonesian cuisines. Although those events were not big enough, they demonstrated that we never forget a nation where we come from.
Therefore, I wish that PPI Exeter will grow significantly as an organisation that represents the identity of Indonesia not only in the city of Exeter but also in the United Kingdon as general. A solid team is a key foundation to run the organisation. Hopefully, every single member of the organisation is able to give the best efforts to make an unforgettable experience for our beloved Indonesian fellows and local people. Last but not least, being active in organisations doesn’t mean that you will not get the first class qualification in your study. It is because, in terms of your future investment, both of them are two sides of the same coin.
President of PPI Exeter 2017-2018
